Aikido for Teens
Tacoma Aikikai’s Teen Aikido program is open to all teens age 12 and older. Registration is ongoing and classes held year-round. Beginners can start in our regularly scheduled teen classes at any time.
The Teen Program at Tacoma Aikikai offers a safe and encouraging environment for teens to grow and thrive. Through Aikido training, teens build fitness, confidence, and leadership in a supportive peer community. Aikido classes for teens provide a disciplined setting for focused practice, similar to adult classes, while emphasizing physical conditioning and gymnastic challenges for young bodies. With commitment and dedication, teens gain proficiency in self-defense and a disciplined foundation in martial arts training.
In addition to our regular program, camps, special events, and workshops for teens offer fun and immersive training experiences for all levels.
